Deep calls to deep

"Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The LORD will command His love in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me — A prayer to the God of my life"

-Psalm 42: 7-8

God is doing a deep work with the Journey team. He began the work long ago and this week specifically He has been so faithful to extend an increased measure of intimacy and revelation of His presence. I love how God chooses to not only uniquely handpick the Journey team but He also paces the team differently. His timing is perfect. His pacing of understanding is personal.

The message that I have heard from our team this week is beautiful brokenness. I got a chance to speak with our staff and they are proclaiming Gods faithfulness as several of the interns are experiencing breakthroughs in their walk with Christ. Brokenness is beautiful because it is in that very moment when we come to the end of ourselves that Christ's power may be magnified. His power is made PERFECT in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). There have been accounts of children being led to Christ by the interns and God has continued to break chains of sinful strongholds in the team.  God is being glorified among the nations as we speak through this next generation!

Although we are on the last leg of the Africans portion of the internship, the team still has so many special days ahead. They are in their last community for another several days. Fun activities in the schools have been filling their days.... Interns have been making bookmarks with the children about their individuality and how God made them special. I had such a sweet gift of being able to overhear school children and interns singing praises to our God, priceless! Pictures of the team and their friends will come soon when they return to internet access. Stay posted and keep praying. We are expectant of what God will continue to do!

Praise HIM who is faithful to deepen and complete the work He began in each member of this team. Oh, how He loves!
