2012 Ministry Update - Kimbilio

Kimbilio Project: We announced on October 31st our newest approach to investing in the lives of the next generation. Kimbilio (means “refuge” in swahili) is a God-inspired approach to caring for the orphans of East Africa. You can’t spend any amount of time there without being affected by the saddening statistics of orphans. The latest estimates include more than 2million orphans in East Africa alone. We spend a lot of time in orphanages and we believe that God desires more for these vulnerable children. We have always been right in tune to the missions approach of The 410 Bridge and their efforts to develop holistic and sustainable change utilizing the nationals as leaders. Kimbilio will be a beautiful picture of God’s Church caring for the vulnerable and fatherless together in a way that will get at the root of the issues that continue to perpetuate the orphan crisis. We know that God as our Father and our Refuge will be tangibly evident in every aspect of what we do at Kimbilio and how we invest in the next generation. We believe that God will rise up a generation to lead their people and their country in new ways. Whether or not you knew it, your support of Invest this year enabled us to take the next step in the process of launching the Kimbilio Project!

It’s been a busy year full of challenges, faith building moments, life change, Church, community, inspiration, dreams, visions, intimate moments with God, growth, etc. You have been a part of all of these things and we are honored to call you ministry partners this year. Thank you for choosing to invest with us and impacting lives of the future generation of leaders both in the US and Africa.
